How many times have you taken a selfie with your chin angled slightly outward? Or, raised your head just a little because you know it will make your chin appear smaller?

These little tricks can keep you from having the dreaded double chin in selfies and other pictures, but it’s not ideal. There are always those times when you want to quickly snap a selfie as you’re going about your day, but can’t because you just don’t have enough time to get it perfect.

Instead, you decide to let the moment go only to regret it later when you wish you had taken that incredible picture of you in front of the funniest bus billboard before it pulled away.

Instead of dealing with a double chin for the rest of your life, here are some things you can do to either make it smaller or get rid of it entirely.

Lose Weight

A double chin is sometimes a consequence of weight gain. Fat can end up where you are genetically predisposed to gain it, and well, that sometimes means under your chin. Losing weight may end up shrinking your double chin or eliminating it, if you lose enough weight.

Exercise

While you can’t always target fat loss or toning, you can try to do it with facial exercises. Head movements that stretch the neck can help you strengthen the area and tone it. Cardio can also help with general weight loss.

Deoxycholic Acid

For some people, there’s nothing that can get rid of a double chin…except now there’s KYBELLA. This injectable formula melts fat away under the chin quickly and effectively. It can take a few sessions to melt it away, but once it’s gone, you won’t have to worry about that double chin selfie.
