Vampire Facelift FAQ
What Is A Vampire Facelift?
Vampire Facelifts are the latest trend in the anti-aging world. By using your own blood you can add volume to your skin and also stimulates the growth of new tissue by using regenerative cells found in the blood. The end results is a more radiant and youthful look all from using your own natural blood.
Hoes Does A Vampire Facelift Work?
The Vampire Facelift is a minimally-invasive procedure where a small amount of your own blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from your blood. Using a special process the growth factors from the platelets are released. These growth factors (or regenerative cells) are then injected into the treatment area to stimulate stem cells that produce new tissue, such as collagen, blood vessels and fatty tissue.
How Is A Vampire Facelift Different?
The biggest differences between a Vampire Facelift and the alternatives is that a Vampire Facelift doesn’t require surgical procedures or the use of harsh chemicals such Hyaluronic acid (HA). In addition, a Vampire Facelift has the added benefit of stimulating cell growth rather than just “filling” the area with another substance.
How Safe Is A Vampire Facelift?
The Vampire Facelift is a very safe procedure for lifting up the skin and smoothing wrinkles. Unlike other alternatives the primary content used for a Vampire Facelift is the patient’s own blood, so it will generally cause very little allergic reaction or side effects to the patient.
How Long Is The Procedure?
The whole Vampire Facelift process usually takes less than an hour to complete though in some cases it may take slightly more time depending on your own circumstances.
How Long Before I See Results?
Generally you will see some improvement almost immediately after the procedure. However, you will notice gradual improvements over the next several weeks as collagen starts to grow and generate more healthy cells under the skin. Optimum results typically take two to three months.
How Much Downtime Is There?
There is virtually no down time at all aside from some mild bruising or irritation at the treatment site. The procedure only takes about an hour, leaves no visible scarring and you are permitted to go home or back to work immediately after the procedure. You can practically get it done on your lunch break.
What Are The Side Effects?
Given that the Vampire Facelift is so new, there might be some longer term side effects which are not visible at the moment. Having said that, below are some of the common side effects dealing with any sorts of facial filler injections:
- Mild irritation & itching (depending on the sensitivity of your skin)
- Mild swelling or edema
- Bruising (this is caused by the reaction of your skin to the physical injection)
The good thing about the Vampire Facelift is that it avoids one of the major side effect of facial filler, which is allergic reactions to animal or synthetic components.
How Long Do The Results Last?
Each Vampire Facelift treatment can last anywhere from 9 – 24 months depending on your skin care regimen and protection against sun exposure. For best long-term results it’s generally recommended to get a reinforcement treatment every 9 months.

How do they work?
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) tissue fillers act by adding volume to tissue, thereby shaping the contours of the face, correcting folds or enhancing the lips to the desired level of correction. The results are long lasting, though not permanent, and the procedure can be repeated as often as you like. You are always in charge of your appearance.
What are Tissue Fillers?
Most temporary tissue fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a substance present in all living organisms. Hyaluronic acid has the important ability to attract and bind water molecules to help maintain tissue volume. Hyaluronic acid is one of very few substances identical in all species and tissue types. The injectable tissue fillers are medically approved sterile gels consisting of non-animal cross-linked hyaluronic acid for injection into the skin to correct facial lines, wrinkles, folds, lip enhancement and for shaping facial contours.
Are permanent Tissue Fillers used at our office?
At the present time permanent tissue fillers are not used in our facility. 80% of the North American dermal filler market generally focuses on the hyaluronic acid temporary tissue fillers. Permanent tissue fillers are more likely to cause side effects and offer less flexibility when it comes to results. The temporary tissue fillers we use are Restylane, Juvederm and Radiesse.
Do I need a facelift?
Four components of the facial structure change as one ages: the skin, muscle, bone and fat. Loss of elasticity in the skin and soft tissue, a loss of volume, reabsorbing of the bone and gravity are all signs of aging. A facelift does not solve all of the problems of aging such as age spots and surface texture changes. A variety of techniques are available to help with the aging process, the muscle contractions are relaxed.
Injectables can address: Lost fullness * Expression lines * Flattened or hollowed features.
Recommended Treatment to Restore Volume: Varying degrees of wrinkles and folds and different areas of the face can be addressed with the use of injectables in a facelift procedure. Plumping up facial volume and filling fine lines and wrinkles can be addressed by using dermal fillers. Expression-related creases are caused by muscle contractions; however, with the use of denervating agents such as Botox.
How its done: After an examination, we will draw up a treatment plan designed specifically for signs of aging and oneʼs personal goals. Temporary fillers such as hyaluronic acid-based (Restylane and Juvederm) or collagen-based longer-lasting injectables like Radiesse, Botox is often used in conjunction with fillers to relax facial muscles that contribute to wrinkles and furrows. Injecting fillers at varying depths to fill creases creates a more youthful contours and appearance. Depending on the number of injections sites and the injectables used treatment can take as little as 30 minutes. Restylane and Juvederm fill lips and creases, and Radiesse create new curves or fill deep crevices in facelift procedures.
What to expect: Some of the initial plumping may be due to overfilling or swelling. It is common for multiple injection sites, but swelling and bruises may be experienced the first few days after treatment. To minimize swelling, patients leave with a pack of ice and are advised not to exercise for the first few hours to prevent an increase in heart rate or blood pressure. Patients should avoid vitamin E, anti-inflammatories, herbal supplements and other medications that promote bruising.

Millions of women already know BOTOX Cosmetic – a nonsurgical treatment that helps temporarily improve moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. Those moderate to severe vertical lines between the brows are sometimes referred to as 1ʼs, 1 1ʼs, 1 1 1ʼs.
Why do I get "elevens"?

Because biologics have a complex structure, it is difficult to recreate a product without knowing exactly how its made (which is specific to each manufacturer) Thats why the amount of the dose (Unit Dosing) and formulations are different between products. Be sure to ask your healthcare professional if BOTOX Cosmetic is right for you.
