What Is "Semi-Permanent"?
(How Long Do They Last?)
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions should last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes.
An eyelashes entire life cycle can last over 6 months and each one is generally at a different stage in it’s life cycle.
As a result some lashes fall out each day as new ones emerge.
Depending on your day-to-day routine refills maybe be required every 2-3 weeks to maintain the full appearance of extended lashes.
Questions? We've Got Answers
The main risks associated with eyelash extensions come when low quality adhesives containing formaldehyde are used.
And if the extensions or glue becomes detached and makes it’s way into your eye.
We are happy to say that we only use the best grade formaldehyde-free adhesives to apply eye lash extensions.
And with proper daily hygiene and avoiding unnecessary contact to your lash extensions your risks associated with infection from the extensions accidentally getting in your eye are minimized.
Please note that currently the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions as they are applied to eyelash hairs and not the skin.
Generally one of the benefits of eyelash extensions is that mascara is no longer needed to get that longer, fuller lash appearance.
However, if you feel the need as you are getting close to needing a refill a water-based mascara can be used.
Yes. Although we ask that you minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours after your treatment to give the adhesive a good chance to set.
After that time, moderate contact with water is ok.
Excessive contact such as in a steam sauna or when receiving certain facials can cause the adhesive bond to loosen.
